Pesticide Alternatives-Pheromone Disruption & Habitats for Natural Enemies

This course provides a biological and ecological framework for effective pheromone mating disruption techniques and implementing natural enemy habitats on farms. The course also covers the pros and cons of increasing plant species diversity, planting strategies and pest reduction expectations in row crops and vineyards. Read all requirements below before you begin.

Course Requirements

Duration: 1 hour 

Meets DPR requirements for 1 CE unit

Completion Requirements

Watch the entire 60 minute video, complete all activities, and pass the final exam with 70% or better. Important note: fast forwarding is not permissible and the course will be disabled. If you are locked out, you'll need to email California Insect Science for permission to re-enroll. 

Important Device Note

To ensure the interactive videos and exam questions function correctly, this course must be viewed on a desktop, laptop, or iPad/tablet. Smart-phones are not supported for this training.

Final Exam

A passing score of 70% or higher is required on the final exam.

Retake Policy

If you do not pass on your first attempt, you will have one (1) additional chance to retake the exam.

Certification

An official Certificate of Completion will be awarded and available for download immediately upon passing.
